Jaya Javeri is one of those who chose to give up their lucrative careers and pursue their passion. An MBA, settled into a well-paying job, the lady in question decided to give it all up in order to paint landscapes. Though, by no means an easy feat, Javeri followed her dream.

What sets her apart is the use of the palette knife instead of the brush.

“It gives a rich texture to the paintings and lends and accentuated effect, or rather, a three-dimensional effect. And eventually, I decided to make it my signature style.” Her move down South has also had a profound effect on her work as she began to use a lot of local South Indian landscape in her paintings.

Javeri, unlike many others, likes to portray a certain sense of of happiness through her paintings. “ I prefer to convey a sense of tranquility through my work and there are figures and flowers which convey a sense of happiness.”
Though most painters tend to shy away from painting landscapes fearing a loss sell-out but not Javeri.
